“By myself I have sworn; truth has gone from my mouth, a word that will not be revoked: Every knee will bow to me, every tongue will swear allegiance. It will be said about me, ‘Righteousness and strength are found only in the LORD.’ All who are enraged against him will come to him and be put to shame. All the descendants of Israel will be justified and boast in the LORD” (Isaiah 45.23-25).
When Jesus came the first time, He came to die for our sins. His followers expected a victory; His enemies were overjoyed at His defeat. But Jesus will come again. When He does, He shall reign as King and set up His kingdom on earth. Then His followers will know that righteousness and strength are found only in the LORD; His enemies will come before Him to be put to shame.
Life comes down to understanding who Jesus is and what Jesus came to do. Everything in life boils down to the question, “What will you do with Jesus?” Is He truly God? Does He really sit at the right hand of God as the resurrected Lord and King? Will I indeed be justified in my boast in the LORD? The Lord Jesus has sworn; truth has gone from His mouth. His words will come to pass: “Every knee will bow to Me!”
