“Turn to me and be saved, all the ends of the earth. For I am God, and there is no other” (Isaiah 45.22).
A lame man was placed each day outside the temple Gate called Beautiful. He begged for his physical needs. Peter and John beckoned him to look at them. He fixed his eyes and expectantly turned to them (Acts 3.4-5). He was given the ability to walk and work for himself. More importantly, his healing opened an avenue for the meeting of greater spiritual needs.
The Lord Jesus beckons us to turn to Him alone. Great is our need as sinners. Jesus said, “Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance.” Turn to Jesus as a sinner in need of righteousness. Look to Jesus Christ and live. “As Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life” (John 3.14-15). Jesus was lifted up on the cross to die for my sins. He was lifted from the grave to live for my righteousness. Turn to Him and be saved, all the ends of the earth!
