“Israel will be saved by the LORD with an everlasting salvation; you will not be put to shame or humiliated for all eternity” (Isaiah 45.17). 

This everlasting salvation came through the Lord Jesus Christ over 2,000 years ago. It is a salvation for all who are weary and heavy laden. “Whoever believes in [the Christ] will not be put to shame” (Romans 9.33; 10.11; 1 Peter 2.6). It is a salvation for Israel first and then a salvation for all the world (John 3.16). How does Jesus save people from their sins?

Jesus saves through His precious blood shed for us. All people must come through the blood atonement of Christ because without the shedding of blood there is no there is no forgiveness (Hebrews 9.22). Jesus appeared one for the removal of sin by the sacrifice of Himself (Hebrews 9.26). He was offered once to bear the sins of many and will come again to give us who are waiting for Him everlasting salvation in Heaven above (Hebrews 9.28). Nothing but the blood of Jesus makes me accepted in the Beloved One. If you are to be saved with an everlasting salvation, you must be found in Jesus, not having a righteousness of your own, but one that is through faith in Christ – the righteousness from God based on faith (Philippians 3.9). 

Jesus saves by grace through faith (Ephesians 2.1-10). You are dead in your sins before you come to Christ. You walked in the ways of the world, according to the ruler of the power of the air (Satan), the spirit now working in all who are disobedient. But God is rich in mercy and great with love. He makes us alive with Christ even though we were dead in our sins. You are saved by grace! You are saved by grace through faith, and this is not from yourselves; it is God’s gift – not from works, so that no one can boast! Your religious activity doesn’t impress God. Your magnanimous spirit will not save you. Salvation is the free gift of God available through the blood of Jesus Christ! It is freely given by grace. So, freely receive it through faith. Lean into Christ. Trust in Him alone. Forsake all other idols.
