“On that day the LORD will thresh grain from the Euphrates River as far as the Wadi of Egypt, and you Israelites will be gathered one by one. On that day a great ram’s horn will be blown, and those lost in the land of Assyria will come, as well as those dispersed in the land of Egypt; and they will worship the LORD at Jerusalem on the holy mountain” (Isaiah 27.12-13).
“The LORD shall be King over all the earth. In that day it shall be ‘The LORD is one,’ and His name one” (Zechariah 14.9). Jesus taught of this yet future day, the advent of the Millennial Kingdom: “[The Son of Man] will send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other” (Matthew 24.31). All the redeemed, Jews and Gentiles, will enter the Millennial Kingdom of the Lord Jesus.
All the redeemed once populating the kingdoms of the world will worship the LORD in the holy mount at Jerusalem. Believers ought to pray daily for this kingdom to come. We ought to seek conformity to this kingdom even now. We ought to obey the King’s Great Commission by seeking out kingdom citizens and leading them to Christ.
The broad way leads to destruction. Many are on it. The narrow way leads to the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Today is the day of the Gospel because on that day the LORD will thresh and gather, condemn and commend. All must believe on Christ. All must trust in His death for our sins, His resurrection for our righteous standing before God. All of us must walk even as He walked through this life. We are His disciples. We were once disobedient to God. Yet we obtained mercy through the disobedience of Israel. There is coming a day when disobedient Israel will receive mercy through the mercy shown to us as Gentiles. “For God has committed them all to disobedience, that He might have mercy on all” (See Romans 11.30-32).
Seek first the kingdom today. Seek first kingdom priorities. Seek first the King’s mercy and grace.
