“You will keep the mind that is dependent on you in perfect peace, for it is trusting in you. Trust in the LORD forever, because in the LORD, the LORD himself, is an everlasting rock” (Isaiah 26.3-4).
Trust in the LORD forever! Lean on Him instead of on your own understanding (see Proverbs 3.5-6). Trust is with all your heart. You cannot keep back any part. All your hope and trust must be in Him. Acknowledge Him by trusting in Him in all your ways. Commit your way to the LORD. Trust also in Him, and He shall bring it to pass (Psalm 37.5). Though He slay me yet will I trust in Him (Job 14.15)! Constantly keep your mind focused and dependent upon the LORD. Trust in Him! He is your help and shield (Psalm 115.9-11). So, trust with all your heart, at all times, and in all your ways. Do not stagger before the promises of God because of unbelief. Be believing!
“Ask in faith without doubting. For the doubter is like the surging sea, driven and tossed by the wind. That person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord, being double-minded and unstable in all his ways” (James 1.6-7). As I commits my works to the LORD, He establishes my thoughts (Proverbs 16.3). He is a sun and shield. “The LORD grants favor and honor; he does not withhold the good from those who live with integrity (whole mind sincerely depending on Him). Happy is the person who trusts in you, LORD of Armies” (Psalm 84.11-12)! Don’t throw away your confidence. There is a great reward waiting for you. “You need endurance, so that after you have done God’s will, you may receive what was promised” (Hebrews 10.38-39).
“Dear friends, we are God’s children now, and what we will be has not yet been revealed. We know that when he appears, we will be like him because we will see him as he is. And everyone who has this hope in him (who keeps on keeping on; who continues to believe and trust) purifies himself just as he is pure” (1 John 3.1-2).
Simply trusting every day,
Trusting through a stormy way;
Even when my faith is small,
Trusting Jesus, that is all.
Trusting as the moments fly,
Trusting as the days go by;
Trusting Him whate’er befall,
Trusting Jesus, that is all.
Brightly doth His Spirit shine
Into this poor heart of mine;
While He leads I cannot fall;
Trusting Jesus, that is all.
Singing if my way is clear,
Praying if the path be drear;
If in danger for Him call;
Trusting Jesus, that is all.
Trusting Him while life shall last,
Trusting Him till earth be past;
Till within the jasper wall,
Trusting Jesus, that is all. – Edgar Page, 1876
